Every blanket begins here on our family farm in the King Country. The wool comes from our own lambs, soft, natural and renewable.
From scouring and spinning to weaving and finishing, every stage happens here on our homeland, keeping our process local, and true to our values of quality and sustainability.

From Our Farm to Your Home
A connection between our land, our animals, and your home.
We farm alongside our three daughters in the rolling King Country hills, raising lambs, working the land, and creating something we’re proud to share.
What began as an idea to give our wool a purpose has grown into something deeply personal: a way to bring the warmth of our farm into the homes of others.
It’s more than a blanket. It’s a story of where it came from, and the people behind it.

What are Yarns by Mount Tibby blankets made from?
Our blankets are woven from 100% New Zealand lambswool, sourced from our own farm and local growers. Each NZ wool blanket is soft, breathable, and naturally warm — no synthetic fibres, just pure lambswool.

Every Yarns by Mount Tibby blanket is designed and made in New Zealand, supporting local wool producers and keeping traditional weaving alive.
Are lambswool blankets itchy?
No, fine-fibre lambswool is soft on the skin, so if you buy the right blankets, they're great! At Yarns by Mount Tibby we offers the warmth of wool without the scratchiness you might remember from older styles.
How do I wash or care for a wool blanket?
For the longest life, dry clean only. If you choose to hand-wash, use cold water and a gentle wool detergent, avoid twisting, and lay flat to dry. Never tumble-dry or bleach wool fibres.
